Shortsville - Doris Marie (Collins) Carey, 77 entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at the House of John.
Family will be planning a time of celebration of her life this summer. The family would like to thank the staff and ask you to consider donations, in lieu of flowers, to the House of John, 14 Spring Street, Clifton Springs, NY 14432, in Doris' memory.
Doris was born the daughter of the late Murray and Elizabeth (Speers) Collins on Thursday, December 19, 1940 in Towlesville, NY. She enjoyed going to casinos and playing the lottery. However, most of all she loved her family and spending time with them.
Doris will be remembered by her daughter, Stacie (Denny) Cooley; son, Todd (Carlotta) Blair; daughter-in- law, Amy (Rick) Lapaglia; grandchildren, Jake O’Brien, Allie Blair, Nick Blair and Nate Cooley; sisters, Barb (Phil) Young, Janelle (Don) Riedl, Elaine Heaven, Patty Bailey (Dave Rowe), and Madeline (Toby) Jamison; brother, Roland (Betty) Collins and Lloyd Collins; sister-in-law, Rita Burns; nieces and nephews; Jeff, Mike, Cam (Josette), Maddie Vest, Owen Thomas Vest; great nieces and nephews, Rayvn, Saige, Tyler, Delaney, Gianna and Peidy Vest, Angie Lombardo; Shelly (Leanne) Collins-Fisher, Missy (Paul) Iverson and family, Jim (Michelle) Collins and family, Julie (Darrell) Brown and family, Joe (Erin) Burns and family, Caitlyn Burns, Amber (Glenn) Harris and family; Jax, Charlie, Elvis and Blackie Cooley.
Doris was predeceased by her infant son Patrick Thomas Collins; brother, Marty Burns; sister, Charlotte Collins.
