Canandaigua - Mary E. Potter, 88 passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019, at M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua, NY.
Family will greet friends Tuesday (June 11) from 11 AM - 12 PM at the United Methodist Church, 12 State Street, Manchester, NY, where Mary's Funeral Service will be held following calling. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery.

Mary was born the daughter of the late Jess A. and Barbara (Maguire) Davidson on Tuesday, July 29, 1930 in Youngstown, OH. Mary graduated from Youngstown University with a bachelor's degree in education; she then earned her Master's degree from Rochester Institute of Technology. Mary enjoyed music, travel, reading, visiting with friends, and her beloved pets. She spent all of her life caring for others, and had a love of learning that gave her an encyclopedic range of knowledge that she was always glad to share.
Mary will be remembered by her daughter, Mary Hermance; grandchildren Amy, Kelson and Daniel Hermance; nephews Richard (Charlene) Pierce, John (Michelle) Davidson and their children Zoe and Cooper; niece, Ann (Clint) Chandler and their child Bailey; brother, John (Barbara) Davidson; step-nephew, Greg (Allison) Martin and his children Shelby and Jackson; special friends Sharon (Roger) Cramer.
Mary was predeceased by husband, Kenneth Potter and brother and sister-in-law, James (Alice) Davidson.
