Wilma Graden Hertz passed away on April 21, 2019. She spent her last 22 years with her loving partner Gerry Panipinto and together they created their cozy haven in Lima, NY where they farmed, canned, gardened, tinkered in the barn, and just enjoyed the myriad of wild birds they faithfully fed and built homes for.
Life before Gerry consisted of single handily raising her rollicking tribe of 7 children who she claimed kept her young with proof in her lack of grey hair well into her 70’s. She called them her babies and included Laurie (Don) Burley, Chuckie (Pam) Hertz, Tammie (the late Howard) Wilson, Penny (Pat) Tezak, Carl (Mary) Anderson, Chrissy (Peter) Minurka and Kelly (Mike) Halling.
While Wilma cherished her children her true pride and amazement was in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Cheri Hertz, Brian (Ann) Burley with James and Conor, Thomas (Andrea) Minurka with newest baby Mila, Corrine (Joe) Fertitta with Parker and Aurora, Jessica (Nathan) Wilson, Jeffrey Burley, Jeremy Hertz, Alex (Christina) Minurka, Laurie (Chris) Musto, Peter (Ashley) Minurka, Aaron Halling, Rachel Anderson with Madelyn, Rose Anderson with Eddie and Zoey Anderson.
Her tiny little frame and spitfire attitude will be so missed by her whole family. We will remember to sing Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer each Christmas in remembrance along with a few other of the more “colorful” songs she enjoyed.
She's also survived by sisters Joyce & Judy and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
A private family celebration will be held.
Kindly consider donations in her name to Verona Street Animal Shelter, 184 Verona St., Rochester NY 14608 - https://vsas.org/donate
