Manchester - On Tuesday, June 15, 2021, Arlene Foster was met at Heaven's gates by her daughter, Kathy Dailey, and her parents, Elizabeth (Howard) Powers and Arlen Woodhams.

Arlene was born July 30, 1951, and lived most of her life in her hometown of Manchester / Shortsville. She was an active member of Shortsville Citizens Hose Company, where she won numerous awards for her quick response and dedication to the department.

Arlene is survived by; her husband, Daniel; her children and grandchildren Elizabeth (Russ) Hadlock, Wendy (Keith) Ball, Joshua Hall, Derek Murphy, Michael, Noah (Daria Stacy), and Ethan Ball, and Lauren, Madison, Noah, and Cheyanna Dailey; great-grandson, Dalton Murphy; her band of dedicated and loving brothers, Jeff (Cindy) Woodhams, Robert (Joan) Woodhams, Ron Woodhams, Randy (Angie) Woodhams, and Don (Elise) Woodhams; aunt, Alice (Robert) Maher; uncle, Tom VanEtten; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 27 at noon at the Shortsville Fire Department, 5 Sheldon Street, Shortsville, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Arlene's memory can be made to the Shortsville Citizens Hose Company, 5 Sheldon Street, Shortsville, NY 14548.
