MANCHESTER - Barbara A. Shutter, 75 passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2019, at home surrounded by her loving family.
At Barbara's request all services will be private.

Barbara was born the daughter of the late Peter and Emma (Vincent) Snyder on Saturday, November 13, 1943 in Albany, NY. She grew up in Albany graduating from Ravena High School. Barbara spent her life caring for others in her home. For over 38 years she cared for and raised developmentally disabled children calling them her own. Everything she did was centered on caring for her family. Barbara loved to play the slots at a casino every once in awhile.
Barbara will be remembered by her loving husband of 60 years, Chester; children William (Mary), James (Jessica) John, Kurt (Lisa); thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Sandy Vanalstyne, Pat Snyder, Carolyn Freer and Peggy Dunman; brother, Joe Snyder; several nieces and nephews.
