Shortsville - Carol F Kerins, 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 31, 2023, at M. M. Ewing Continuing Care Center.
Please join the family at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at St. Dominic's Church, 97 West Main Street, Shortsville, NY 14548, for Carol's funeral mass. Burial will follow in St. Rose Cemetery, Shortsville Road, Shortsville, NY.

Carol was born the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Duffy) Fennell on Monday, March 23, 1936, in Geneva, NY, and completed her education in 1960 at DeSales Catholic High School. After graduation, she enjoyed working as a switchboard operator and chatting up the girls between calls.
When Carol married Francis Kerins, she relocated to the Shortsville area where she and Fran began operating a coffee shop/arcade where generations of local teenagers congregated and made memories!
As a young mother, Carol started working as a bus driver for the Red Jacket School District. She loved her job and was the best bus driver Red Jacket had for over 35 years! Carol formed a close bond with her fellow bus drivers, often going out for pizza and bowling together! Her other activities included delivering meals on wheels, cheering for the Buffalo Bills, playing the keyboard, reading ,crocheting, puzzles, and she loved listening to music (especially her son, Jim's many bands) and dancing! She was a devoted mother, always attending her children's sporting & musical events and all her grandchildren's activities as well.

Carol will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jim (Julie West) Kerins and Sandra (Stewart) North; grandchildren, Maureen, Travis, Andrew (Sarah) and Jenna North; great-grandchild, Theo North; brother, Robert (Cynthia) Fennell; and sister Alicia Bennett; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Carol was predeceased by her husband, Francis Kerins; her son, Michael Kerins; & brother-in-law, Gordon Bennett II
