Shortsville - Doreen C. Garrett, 77, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family.
The family will greet friends from 6 - 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Halsted-Patrick Funeral Home, 19 North Main Street, Manchester, NY 14504. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Shortsville, NY at a time to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Happy Tails Animal Shelter at Ontario County Humane Society, 2976 County Road 48, Canandaigua, NY 14424 in memory of Doreen.
Doreen was born the daughter of the late Paul and Rose (Campione) Katchmar on Friday, July 28, 1944, in Albany, NY. Doreen was raised in Albany and graduated from Bethlehem Central School. Doreen accomplished many things in her life. She own several business's including the saloon, Blue Mule. Doreen enjoyed antiques, animals, big and small, and was a master gardener. Her greatest passion was her family, whom she devoted her whole life too.
Doreen was the beloved wife of 53 years to Edward Garrett; mother to Michele (Mike) Hill-Garrett and Sheliah Garrett; grandson, Nicholas and granddaughter, Leiliah; sister, Paulette Katchmar.
Doreen was predeceased by her sister, Frances Loeper; son-in-law, Graham Knight.
