Shortsville - Helen Marie Martin, 82, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020, at F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, NY.

Please join the family at 10 a.m. on Friday (July 17) at St. Dominic Church, 97 W Main St, Shortsville, NY for Helen's funeral mass. Burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery, Shortsville, NY.

Helen was born the daughter of the late Flormond and Frances (Fraser) Governor on Saturday, October 9, 1937, in Clifton Springs, NY. Helen graduated form Red Jacket High School Class of 1955. She was a lifelong member of St. Dominic Church. Helen enjoyed watching the Buffalo Bills and Tiger Woods play. Helen worked as a secretary at Red Jacket until she stayed home to care for her children. After her children were grown, she worked as Deputy Tax Collector for the Town of Manchester.

Helen loved to spend her Saturday's with her grandchildren Ben and Abi. They loved to bake and eat cookies. They spent their day watching movies, sewing and playing solitaire.

Helen will be remembered by her children Susan (Christopher) Raimondi, William (Debra) Martin, Lee (Amy) Martin, Sr.; and Lisa Martin; grandchildren Benjamin and Abigail Raimondi and Colleen Martin and Lee Martin, Jr.; sister, Shirley Vanderwall; brother, Robert Governor; several nieces and nephews.

Helen was predeceased by her husband, Walter Martin in 1982 and brother, Edward Governor in 2013.
