Shortsville/Cheshire - Jesse C. Whipple Jr., 75, passed away at home with his children by his side on Sunday, August 7, 2022.

Friends are invited to join the family at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 12, 2022, at Pine Bank Cemetery for Jesse's graveside service. There will be a luncheon following the graveside service at the American Legion Turner Schrader Post 34, 1513 Palmyra Street, Shortsville, NY 14548.

Jesse was born in Olean, NY, on November 4, 1946, and was raised in Cheshire, NY, graduating from Canandaigua Academy in 1964. He served in the Air Force from February 1967 to August 1970. After that, he continued his career and became a technician at Griffith Energy until he retired. Above all else, there was nothing that Jesse valued more than family. He enjoyed spending most of his time with them and would spend his Saturday nights being "the chief" of the 38 racing team, watching his son race. He also enjoyed helping his children with home projects, working on the farm, and tinkering around his home.

Jesse is survived by his children, Jeremy (Lisa) Whipple, Jason (Lorrie) Whipple, and Julie (Cree) Whipple; grandchildren Tyler Cosgrove, JJ Whipple, and Addi Whipple; siblings Corene (John) Trickey, Mike (Joan) Whipple and Susie (Tom) Scrooby; several nieces and nephews.

Jesse is predeceased by his parents Jesse C. Whipple Sr. and Arlie A. (Nelson) Whipple; his siblings Sharon Backus, Vicki Holmes and Douglas Whipple; sister-in-law, Linda Whipple; a niece Lory Butters.
