Shortsville: Age 59, passed away on Friday, September 8th, 2023, at Light Hill Hospice House in Canandaigua.

John was predeceased by his father, John William Scharf Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Parks; his son, John Scharf; stepdaughters, Rebecca Corino and Elizabeth Corino (grandson, Jacob); brother, James Scharf (nephew, Josh Scharf); and multiple step-siblings from both sides of his family.

John was a significantly beloved son, father, stepfather, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was always one to jump in and help when needed and a well-known, self-employed mechanic in the area. He will be greatly missed every day.

The family will greet friends and family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, September 16th, 2023, at Halsted-Patrick Funeral Home, 19 North Main Street, Manchester, NY 14504. There will be a graveside service immediately following visitation at Brookside Cemetery, 18 Hebron Street, Shortsville, NY.
