John Richard Yonovich

Farmington - John R. Yonovich, 81, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at his home.

Please join the family at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at South Farmington Cemetery for John's graveside service with Rev. Lynn Spence officiating.

John was born on Monday, October 6, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan. He grew up in Michigan, joined the Air Force in 1961, and served until 1965. John graduated from the University of New Hampshire at the top of his class with a degree in engineering. He worked for Xerox in Rochester until his retirement; while at Xerox, he traveled extensively, living in China and South Korea. John enjoyed sailing, tall ships, and reading history. He volunteered with the Red Cross and served in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. John kept himself busy tinkering around the house and in his shop. Occasionally, he would make time for a pint of Guinness.

John will be remembered by his spouse, Viola Yonovich; his children Tanya (HanK Rodenburg) Yonovich; Lyle (Elizabeth) Yonovich; grandchildren, Brianna (Shane) Distaffen, Zackary (Amber) Yonovich; and his great-grandchildren Wesley, Nikolai, Ezra, Laine.

John was predeceased by his parents Morris and Elwilda Hall.
