Farmington - Katherine D. Button, 66, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.

The family will greet friends from 3 - 7 p.m. on Friday (April 9) at Farmington United Methodist Church, 5925 County Road 41, Farmington, NY 14425. Katherine's funeral service will be by invitation and live-streamed at 11 a.m. on Saturday (April 10). To view the live stream, follow the link hpfhlive.com.  Burial will be held at South Farmington Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday (April 10).. The family will host a "open-house" style reception from 1 - 5 p.m. on Sunday (April 11) at 5610 Route 96, Farmington, NY 14425.

Katherine was born the daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Goodman) Huxley on Monday, September 6, 1954, in Clifton Springs, NY. She graduated from Red Jacket High School class of 1972 and then attended college, graduating as a Registered Nurse. She worked at Thompson Hospital, Red Jacket Schools, and retired from Wayne County BOCES. Kathy was a member and leader at Farmington United Methodist Church for many years. Kathy was known as a prayer warrior. She led and mentored people to prayer locally and across the country. Kathy loved nature, birds, campfires, wildflowers and also cherished her grandchildren deeply.

Katherine will be remembered by her loving husband of 45 years, Steve; son, Charles Andrew Button; daughter, Elizabeth (Dan) Kulp; grandchildren, Clarissa Rose, Kaitlyn Marie, Danielle, Simon, Shea, Emily, and Steven; sister, Debbie (Steve) Dressner; brother, Thom (Sally) Huxley.

Katherine was predeceased by her brother, Bill Huxley.
