Farmington - Philip "Tim" Sykes, 76, passed away on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at F. F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, NY

Family will greet friends from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday (Mar.7) at Halsted-Patrick Funeral Home, 19 North Main Street, Manchester, NY 14504. Philip's memorial service will follow visitation at 4 p.m.

Philip was born the son of the late George Melvin Sykes and Geraldine Ethel (Graham-Sykes) Jackowski on Thursday, July 1, 1943 in Fine, NY. He graduated high school from Clifton-Fine Central School and then he graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Philip worked and retired form MDT Castle in Henrietta, New York.

Philip will be remembered by his loving wife of 30 years, Betty Ryan-Sykes; son, David (Charlene) Sykes; daughters Michele (Tom Smith) Sykes and Karen (Michael) Archer; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; the mother of his children, Patricia Wicks; step-daughters Barbara Reynolds-Bregard and Susan (Russell) Marsh; four step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren; brother, Fredrick (Sachiko) Sykes of Lindenhurst, IL; sister, Rowena (Sykes) Ingrahm of Morristown, TN; four nieces and nephews.
