RICHARD L. HOVEY

SHORTSVILLE - Richard L. Hovey, 84, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2019, at Hospeace House in Naples.

Family will greet friends Friday (August 2) from 4-6 PM at Halsted-Patrick Funeral Home, 19 N. Main Street, Manchester. A graveside service will be held Saturday (August 3) at 11 AM at South Farmington Cemetery, Farmington.

Richard was born November 23, 1934, in Hudson, MA the son of the late Lyman and Barbara Hovey. He moved to New York after retiring from Koehler Manufacturing Inc. in Marlbrough, MA.
Richard enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, tending to his flowers, building birdhouses, and tinkering around the house.

He is survived by; his loving wife of 62 years, Georgena; daughters, Virginia Wright and Janet (Steve) Armstrong; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Betty Satas, Carol (Roger) Wilkins, and Bob (Bobbe) Hovey; several nieces and nephews; and special feline friend, Lily.
