Russell Williams, Jr.

Shortsville - Russell Williams Jr., 87, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Russell, born on Thursday, June 11, 1936, in Canandaigua, NY, was the son of the late Russell and Harriet Lorene (Schrader) Williams. He lived his entire life in the Shortsville area attending Red Jacket High School and then served in the US Army. With an engineer's mind, Russell pursued a career in manufacturing, beginning at Papec Machine, then Wright Components, and culminating at Valve Tech until his retirement. He cherished his wife, children, grandchildren & great grandchildren, relishing moments spent with them, whether it was by the campfire or at home for the holidays. Russ enjoyed trips with his wife to the Adirondacks and the Thousand Islands. In his leisure, Russell found joy in hunting, fishing, was a lifelong member of Shortsville Rod and Gun Club, and supporting the Boston Red Sox.

Russell will be remembered by his loving wife of sixty-four years, Sandra; his children Reanea (Carl) Pimm, Rusty (Susan) Williams and Diane (Steve) Kornbau; grandchildren, Thomas (Angela) Upchurch, Alexandra (Garrett) Janssen, Kaitlyn Williams, and Luke Kornbau; great-grandchildren, Marla and Norah Upchurch and Laynie Janssen; a brother, Edwin (Donna) Williams; nieces and nephews.

Russell was predeceased by two sisters Elsie Ciardi and Janet Randall.

In honor of Russell's wishes all services will remain private.
