Clifton Springs - Scott R. Darling, 64, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

The family will greet friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Halsted-Patrick Funeral Home, 19 North Main Street, Manchester, NY 14506. Scott's memorial service will follow visitation at the funeral home.

Scott was born the son of Donald and Vivian (Cook) Darling on Monday, November 30, 1959, in Clifton Springs, NY. Growing up in the area, he completed his education at Red Jacket High School, graduating with the class of 1978. After graduating, Scott embarked on a career as an electrician, dedicating over two decades of service at Finger Lakes Community College. With a passion for the outdoors, he found solace in hunting and fishing on his property. Family held a special place in Scott's heart; he cherished moments spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren, relishing family gatherings and shared experiences.

Scott will be remembered by his wife of forty-one years, Debbie; his children, Matt (Lauren) Schrader, John (Lisa) Darling, and Aaron (Amanda) Darling; grandchildren, Aubry, Ava, Daryl, Natalie, and Kate; his father, Don Darling; siblings, Mark (Georgia) Darling, Dale (Anina) Darling, many nieces and nephews.

Scott was predeceased by mother, Vivian in 2017; and a nephew Nathan Darling.
