Shortsville - Sharon Griffin, 74, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Halsted-Patrick Funeral Home, 19 North Main Street, Manchester, NY 14504. Sharon's funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Pathway Community Church, 4317 Co Rd 46, Canandaigua, NY 14424. Her burial will follow in North Farmington Friends Cemetery.

Sharon was born the daughter of the late Thomas H. and Marion Doris (Jones) Gardner on Sunday, September 26, 1948, in Canandaigua, NY. Sharon was raised in the area, graduating from Palmyra High School. She first worked as a typesetter for the Timesaver newspaper for twenty years, then retired from Red Jacket School High School after seventeen years as the secretary to the principal. Sharon was a past American Legion Ladies Auxiliary member in Shortsville, NY. She loved her family and was happiest spending time with them, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Matthew 5:4, Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Sharon will be remembered by her beloved husband, Kim Griffin; loving children Brenda (Martin) Morris, Teresa (Marty) Bates, Alisha (Bobby) Rich and Jason (Wendy) Griffin; loving siblings Steven Fredrick Gardner, Guy (Janet) Griffin, and sister-in-law, Barbara Gardner; loving grandchildren Christopher Morris, Brittany Bates, Hannah (Matt) Gebo, Alyssa White, Celeste Griffin, and Justin (Tara) Griffin; loving great-grandchildren Lincoln, Jackson, and Desmond Rich, Amelia and Peter Gebo; nieces and nephews she loved as her own Tod (Carie) Gardner, Steve (Courtney) Gardner, Kelly (Glenn) Purvis, Nick Gardner, Tyler, Alexis, Devin, Nathan, and Kyle Gardner, Sadie, Chole, and Peyton Purvis; and her dear friends Sharon Scott and Lori Bills.
Sharon was predeceased by her mother and father, Tom and Doris Gardner; siblings John, Donna, and Barbie Gardner, Sheila Coleman, and Jerry Griffin; nephew, Stephen Gardner; great-grandson, Noah White and her mother-in-law, Louella Griffin.
