Shirley A. (Peters) D'Arduini, age 84, died December 25, 2020, in New Port Richey, Fl.
Shirley was born on April 10, 1936, in Clifton Springs, NY, to the late Leonard J. and Olga (Johnson) Peters. She graduated from Red Jacket High School in 1954 and then attended Brockport College. Shirley retired from a career at Manchester Post Office in 1995.
Her faith and her family meant the very most to her. She spent endless hours teaching and playing dominoes, cards, and many other games with her grandchildren. Second to that was the years spent traveling and entertaining with their life long best friends, the "Mountain Gang." Shirley loved traveling in retirement with her husband, Ben. They were blessed with 40 years, in her Northern Happy Place overlooking Hickory Lake, and the same in her Southern Happy Place of New Port Richey, FL – where they've made great friends into family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Bernard N. D'Arduini; her son, John (Kimberly May) D'Arduini; five daughters Ann Marie (Kevin) Crowley, Elizabeth (Raymond) Ventura, Teresa (Kenneth) Palmeri, Charlene (David) Sykes, and Barbara (Christopher) Hansen; sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; her sister, Elizabeth (Gary) Pappert; sisters-in-law, Annie Peters, Ruth Peters, Angelina Keating, Mary D'Arduini, and Angela D'Arduini; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents, Leonard and Olga; her beautiful great-granddaughter, Jaiden Crowley; brothers Robert and Howard Peters; sisters Katherine McCallum and Alice French.
Please join the family at 12 p.m. on Tuesday (January 5) at St. Dominic's Church, 97 West Main Street, Shortsville, NY 14548. Burial will follow in St. Rose Cemetery.
